Flinders Island Land Area: 137, 000 hectares
Population: approx. 700 permanent residents
Shipwrecks: 120 in the Furneaux Group
Bush Walks: There is 200 km of coastline to start with. Plus many inland and mountain walk as well
Beaches: 120 (mostly deserted)
Number of Islands: 52
Climate: Temp range (summer 22oC - 32oC, Winter 5oC - 18oC); annual average rainfall 800 mm. Yes it does get windy too.
